THE BOOKS OF ACTS

Join followers of Jesus who gather with a simple but profound purpose: to live out the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. We believe Jesus calls us to love one another deeply and to go and make disciples, just as He commanded. An Acts Gatherings are modeled after the early church in Acts—a community bound together in love, supporting one another, and walking together on mission. This isn’t about a program or an event but about being a family of believers who share life, faith, and purpose in Jesus.

BACK TO THE SIMPLE

It’s a simple, Spirit-led gathering of people who follow Jesus without the hype. Just everyday believers coming together to love one another deeply and live out Jesus’ call to make disciples. Inspired by the rhythms of the early church in the Book of Acts, these groups grow through prayer, shared meals, Scripture, and authentic relationships. An Acts Gathering isn’t an event to attend or a program to run. It’s a way of life—walking with Jesus in community, supporting each other, and living on mission together.

WE GATHER TO SCATTER

We gather so we can be sent. We meet at a regularly time for a time to worship, grow, and be strengthened together, but the real work happens as we scatter—into our workplaces, schools, homes, and neighborhoods. Jesus has called us to be light in the world, and that means carrying His hope wherever we go. Beyond our main gatherings, we encourage smaller meetups, intentional discipleship, and simply being present in the places God has put us. We are not just a gathering—we are a movement of everyday people, living on mission, together.

ABOUT ACTS GATHERING

Acts 2:42-47

⁴² They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. ⁴³ Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. ⁴⁴ All the believers were together and had everything in common. ⁴⁵ They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. ⁴⁶ Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, ⁴⁷ praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

We mobilise simple, Acts-style communities of Jesus followers in Australia. Church is more than a building or a program but gathering of people, the body of Christ—people living out their faith wherever they are. Our heart is to be a community that embodies the Great Commandment and the Great Commission, loving one another and making disciples in the everyday spaces of life. We work as a non-denominational movement and work with all communities and groups to see small and local Acts gatherings form.

We are a Word-and-Spirit-based gathering, deeply rooted in the Bible and believing in the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit today. Our gatherings reflect the early church in Acts, reading Scripture, prayer, and worship. We focus on simply being the church—walking with Jesus and one another in authentic, everyday discipleship.

Our aim focus is disciples who make disciples.
